George Washington Nicholson (American, 1832-1912), large oil on canvas mounted to board, landscape depicting village by the shore with fishermen, merchants, etc., signed lower left: "G.W. Nicholson." Image: 39.5" H x 62.5" W; frame: 46.5" H x 69.75" W x 2.25" D. Craquelure throughout. Provenance: From the estate of American film producer Martin Bregman (Scarface, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon). Removed from his Park Avenue apartment decorated by Sister Parish and Albert Hadley.
